 DEEM, LLC has an in-house safety program and safety director. Since our inception, safety for our employees has been a priority. Safety Director, Robert G. Leffler, “Safety Bob”, heads this department and has designed and implemented an extensive employee safety training program.
“Safety Bob” was previously employed by the Indiana Department. At different times, he has held the position of both I-OSHA Construction Compliance Officer and Supervisor. He has comprehensive training in safety courses through I-OSHA, and he is also certified to instruct OSHA 10 and 30 hour courses.
We drive efficiencies without sacrificing employee safety. From the first day a technician is hired into DEEM, they are introduced to our safety expectations and issued proper safety equipment and instructions for use. Job site safety inspections are also conducted to ensure employee safety, and classes are offered for persons involved in the following activities on the job site:
· Forklift
· Personnel lifts
· Excavation
· First-aid certification for foremen and leadmen
DEEM, LLC’s safety record receives high marks. It is apparent according to industry standard safety evaluations that DEEM, LLC’s safety initiatives have been a success. To date, DEEM, LLC has achieved scores well under (1.0) for their experience modification rate (EMR).
Placing safe drivers on the road is also very important to DEEM, LLC. We screen and monitor all drivers in DEEM, LLC vehicles. We believe in high quality efficient installation and service while preserving personnel and community safety.
